Donncha O' Connor Announces Retirement   08/07/2018

Donncha O Connor, one of the longest-serving and most decorated players in Cork football history, has announced his retirement from inter-county football. Donncha made his Senior debut in 2006 against Dublin in the National League, followed by his maiden Championship outing against Limerick in 2006. The highlight of his career was the 2010 All-Ireland Final victory over Down, but he also played in two other finals, 2007 and 2009.
In his thirteen seasons on the Cork panel, he has captured four provincial titles - 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2012 and four National Football league titles. He also captured Munster & All-Ireland Junior Football Championship with Cork along with a Inter-Provisional medal.
Honours won by Donncha O Connor: 1 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (2010), 1 All-Ireland Junior Football Championship (2005), 4 National Football Leagues (Div 2, 09 and Div 1, 2010, 2011, & 2012), 4 Munster Senior Football Championships (2006, 2008, 2009 & 2012), 1 Munster Junior Football Championship (2005), 1 Inter-provincial medal (2008).
