Biography

Barry is a credit analyst at AIB. He first played football in Nemo Rangers Street Leagues. He cites his father as his greatest influences, and so far, winning the Sigerson Cup has been his best achievement. The players he most admires are Joe Kavanagh, Alan Cronin and Dylan Mehigan, and his biggest disappointment was the 2011 U21 loss to Galway in the All-Ireland Semi-Final. He likes to relax by watching film or playing the PS3, and if there was a transfer marked in football, he'd buy Michael Murphy. As a child, he wanted to be a soccer player or Batman, and his dream dinner party guests would be Batman, Iron Man, Meatloaf, Santa and Gordon Ramsey! The sporting event he would most like to attend is the superbowl. To date his favourite moment in sport is winning the sigerson cup. Favourite Venue: St James Park. Favourite G.A.A. player: Janes Master. The sportsperson he would most like to meet is Adrian Peterson. Toughest player to mark in training is Michael Shields. The ‘joker’ on the panel is Mark "Congetti" Collins. If he won the lotto the first thing he would buy is a mansion. Favourite holiday destination: Boston. Favourite Food: Pizza. Favourite Drink: Cidona. Favourite Music: Classical. Favourite Film: The count of Monte Cristo. In ten years time he hope to be: a restaurant owner.
