Biography

A Final Year Arts student at UCC, Barry first played football in Nemo Rangers Street Leagues. He cites Larry Kavanagh, Billy Morgan and his dad as his greatest influences, and so far, winning the Sigerson Cup has been his best achievement. The players he most admires are Joe Kavanagh, Alan Cronin and Dylan Mehigan, and his biggest disappointment was the 2011 U21 loss to Galway in the All-Ireland Semi-Final. He likes to relax by watching film or playing the PS3, and if there was a transfer marked in football, he'd buy Michael Murphy. As a child, he wanted to be a soccer player or Batman, and his dream dinner party guests would be Batman, Iron Man, Meatloaf, Santa and Gordon Ramsey!
