Biography

A student at UCC, Alan is a brother of Cork senior Eoin. He first played football in Douglas Street Leagues at the age of six, and believes that the kickpass is the most important skill in football. He would also like to see the clean pick-up introduced. His best sporting memory outside of playing is Cork winning the All Ireland in 2010, while as a player, the Munster U21 Final defeat of Kerry in 2012 is the highlight. Graham Canty is the greatest player he has ever seen, and if there was a transfer market in football, he would buy Karl Lacey. His favourite sport other than football is hurling, and as a child, he wanted to be James Bond. He would like to meet Muhammed Ali, and in ten years' time, hopes to be still playing inter-county football.
