Biography

Occupation: teacher, Alan is a brother of Cork senior footballer Eoin. He first played Hurling in Douglas Street Leagues at the age of six, and believes that the first touch is the most important skill in hurling. Biggest influence on his hurling career are his parents, Brother and club. . His best sporting memory outside of playing is Cork winning the All Ireland in 2010, while as a player, to date is his favourite moment in sport is winning the Munster hurling title in 2014.His favourite sport other than hurling is football, A sporting event he would most like to attend? MMA fight in Croke Park, favourite venue: Thurlas or Croke Park, favourite G.A.A. player: Sean Og or Ben O Connor, sportsperson he would most like to meet is Conor McGregor or AP McCoy, the hardest part of his sporting life? Finding a good balance, toughest player to mark in training?
