Biography

Currently studying at UCC, Killian first played hurling when he was 4 or 5 in the community centre in Midleton, and joined the Cork Senior Hurling panel in 2014. He considers hooking and blocking to be the most important skills in hurling, and if he could change anything about the GAA, he would ban winter hurling as he hates the cold! His best hurling memory outside of playing is Midleton CBS winning the Harty Cup in 2006, while as a player, the highlight has been winning the County Senior Hurling Championship with his club in 2013. The greatest players he has ever seen include Sean Og O hAilpín, Mickey O’ Connell and Wayne Sherlock, and if there was a transfer market in hurling, he would buy Tony Kelly. He lists Patrick Horgan has his toughest opponent, and also enjoys soccer and basketball. Like many of us, he considers Twitter to be the best invention ever!
