Biography

Colm, an AIB Bank employee in Finance & leasing. He won his first All-Star in 2012. He comes from Ballyclough, and made his Senior debut in 2009 against Waterford. He is, however, no stranger to success, having won a Munster MFC, two Munster U21 titles and an All-Ireland U21, and was Cadbury's Hero of the Future in 2009. He's now one of our heroes of the present! He also plays hurling and golf, and as a child he wanted to be a pilot. His best football memory is captaining Cork to All-Ireland U21 success in 2009, and he considers Graham Canty to be the best player he has ever seen. He first started playing football at home with his brother and father. The biggest influence on his football career has being his family and club underage coaches. The sporting event he would most like to attend is the Augusta Masters. To date what is his favourite moment in sport is winning All Ireland in 2010. Favourite Venue: Croke Park. Favourite GAA Player: Peter Harte. The sportsperson he would most like to meet is Rory McIlroy. The hardest part of his sporting life is missing out on social events with family and friends. Toughest Player to mark in training: Michael Shields. The joker of the panel: John O Rourke. If he won the lotto the first thing he would buy is a mansion with a par 3 golf course out the back. Favourite holiday destination: Santorini. Favourite Food: Lasangna. Favourite Drink: Milk. Favourite Music: Anything except “tecno”. Favourite Film: Blood Diamond. In ten years’ time he hope to be: Happy, healthy and living in the mansion mentioned above.
