Biography

From Bishopstown, Jamie works as Engineer. He is 6'3 and has won Munster and All-Ireland U21 Football titles. A 2010 débutant, his first Senior inter-county game was against Derry in the 2010 League. He feels it is very important to be comfortable kicking off both feet, and his best football memory is a player is beating Kerry in U21 in 2009. His favourite sport other than football is hurling, and he is also good at snooker. The person he would most like to meet is Jay from The Inbetweeners. Jamie also won a Sigerson Cup medal with UCC in 2011, playing at corner-back and received the Man of the Match award for Cork's 2011 victory over Dublin in the Allianz Football League Final. He first started playing football in the Street Leagues under Bill Sherman. Biggest influence on his football career is his father. The sporting event he would most like to attend: NASCAR. To date his favourite moment in sport is 2010 All-Ireland Final. Favourite Venue: Mardyke. Favourite G.A.A. player: Barry O Driscoll. The hardest part of his sporting life: Listening to Ken O Halloran at every training session. Toughest player to mark in training: Ian Maguire. The ‘joker’ on the panel: Tom Clancy. If he won the lotto the first thing he would buy is Southampton FC. Favourite holiday destination: Aya Napa. Favourite Drink: Mooju. Favourite Music: Sean Powter .on the tin whistle.
