Please note: Matchday parking is not available around the stadium.

We advise all supporters, where possible, to walk to the grounds as approach routes will be busy with regular commuting traffic, and routes closer to the stadium will be closed.
The area surrounding the access and egress points to the venue will be adequately lit with tower lighting.

Gardaí recommend that people walk the 15 minutes to the ground from the City Centre where possible but there will also be a free shuttle bus service which will go from Victoria Road up to the old marquee site next to Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The closer you park to the grounds the longer you will be held back afterwards by the Gardaí and Stewards to ensure safe traffic management flow and to prioritise the safe passage of pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be limited vehicular access to Centre Park Road, The Marina, Maryville and Monahan Road on Saturday 10th February 2024.

The inner cordon will be in place from 16.00 hrs on Sat 10/2/24 closing at the following junctions;

• Maryville at junction with Blackrock Rd (Maryville resident access only)
• Monahan Rd at junction with Link Rd (Marque Rd) (Birchgrove resident access only)
• Centre Park Rd at junction with Link Rd (Marque Rd)
• Ardfoyle at junction with Blackrock Rd
• Park Ave at junction with Blackrock Rd
The outer cordon will be in place from 17.00 hrs Sat 10/2/24 closing at the following junctions;

Churchyard Ln at junction with Boreenmanna Rd (resident access only)
Churchyard Ln at junction with Blackrock Rd (resident access only)
Residents of Maryville, Park Ave & Ardfoyle to access through the junctions with Blackrock Rd only.
Residents of Birchgrove to access through Monaghan Rd only.
Residents are advised to carry their driving licence, utility bill or some proof of address.
Residents are advised that due to the expected heavy footfall between 17.00hrs and 19.00 hrs and again between 21.00 hrs and 21.30 hrs there will be traffic disruption and to plan their day accordingly

Post-game: 8:45pm – 10pm

Cork City Parking:

Gardai will operate a cordon near the stadium and local estates will be barriered to stop patrons from parking in front of neighbour’s houses.

Taxi Drop Off:
Taxis are to drop off at a designated area on the Victoria Road just before Marina Walk unless they are wheel chair taxi.
Please follow the directions of Gardaí & Stewards when dropping off a person with accessibility needs.

Public Buses:
Route 202 operates from Merchants Quay to Mahon Point and customers can board at Merchants Quay in the City Centre or at Mahon Point, to be dropped off at Ballintemple, adjacent to Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The stadium is a 5 minute walk from this stop. Route 202 will also be available from Ballintemple, Blackrock Road after the match to City Centre and Mahon Point
Route 215 or 219 stops at the Churchyard Lane stop which is 10 minutes to the stadium.

Cycling
Cork City council have a number of bicycle parking amenities in the surrounding area with a map including all surrounding bicycle parking amenities here.

SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh hosts Munster Rugby game

Munster edged out Superb Rugby champions Crusaders on another memorable night in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in front of a sold-out crowd of 40,885.

It was an entertaining encounter between the URC champions and the New Zealanders which produced an exciting finish.

Former Munster coach Rob Penney saw his Crusaders side almost snatch a draw when they crossed for a try with the clock two minutes in the red but they were unable to add the conversion.

The scene was set when Crusaders performed the first Haka at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh ahead of kick-off.

Munster led 14-7 at the end of an opening half where they were on top for long periods.

They hit the front after a good bout of possession when Gavin Coombes got in for his first try after 15 minutes after Shane Daly was stopped short.

Joey Carbery added the extras from the left wing to make it 7-0.

Daly was denied a try four minutes later when three Crusaders managed to get back to prevent him grounding the ball after another good build-up.

But the pressure paid off six minutes from the break when Munster went to the corner with a penalty. Hooker Eoghan Clarke was stopped short but from the recycle Coombes got over for his second try.

Carbery again converted for 14-0.

But Crusaders hit back before the interval with scrum-half Mitch Drummond scoring after being set up by Macca Springer and Dallas McLeod. Taha Kemera converted to leave it 14-7 at the break.

Crusaders got back on level terms after 66 minutes when McLeod got in for a try which Rivez Reihana converted to make it 14-14.

But Munster hit the front ten minutes from time when they were again rewarded for going to the corner and a few phases later Scott Buckley squeezed over and Carbery converted to lead 21-14.

Crusaders finished strongly but while Jamie Hannah got in for their third try, the conversion from Rivez Reihana drifted across goal and Munster held on to back up their win last season over South Africa A with another win at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Eoghan Clarke and Ruadhán Quinn made their first starts for Munster.

Colm Hogan and Kamil Nowak made their Munster debuts.

Gavin Coombes was named Player of the Match.

Fan Zone

The Marina Market (Eircode: T12 YX76) is a 20-minute walk from SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and will be hosting a free Family Fan Zone from 2pm with lots of activities for supporters of all ages pre-game.

There will be a Q&A with two players and the Munster March departs at 3.45pm, arriving at the ground at approx 4.05pm.

Munster mascot Oscar will also be there to meet and greet supporters.

Oscar will be meeting supporters at the Fan Zone in Marina Market ahead of the game.

Park and Ride

We would encourage supporters to use the Black Ash Park and Ride which will be in operation until 9.30pm. By parking in Black Ash, supporters will be able to avail of the normal bus into the city and can then get the shuttlebus from Victoria Road out to the stadium.

Cork City Parking

Gardaí will operate a cordon near the stadium and local estates will be barriered to stop patrons from parking in front of residents’ houses.

Irish Rail

Irish Rail customers are advised that planned engineering works will take place from Saturday 3rd February to Monday 5th February on some services to Cork. Alterations and amendments will be in place including bus transfers. See more information on the Irish Rail website here.

Munster March

Munster Rugby and adidas are inviting supporters to participate in the Munster March at 3.45pm ahead of the game.

The March will begin from our fanzone in the Marina Market.

We want Munster supporters of all ages to walk to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh to help raise awareness of the club’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action.

A key focus of our strategy is to encourage supporters, where possible, to use more sustainable forms of transport – such as walking, cycling, carpooling and public transport, when travelling to our matches.

Cork GAA secures new multi-year partnership for “SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh”

Cork’s iconic GAA stadium, Páirc Uí Chaoimh, is to be renamed SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh as part of a new 10-year partnership with Ireland’s leading supermarket retailer. The matter of naming rights will be finalised at a special meeting of delegates to the Cork County Board on Thursday.

The historic grounds underwent an extensive renovation before reopening in 2017. Naming rights for the stadium are part of a broader commercial strategy by Cork GAA which is supported by One Cork. This aims to put Cork GAA on a stable financial footing to help develop the game at both local and county level.

SuperValu is part of the Musgrave Group, Ireland’s leading food retail, wholesale, and foodservice company. With a network of 222 community-based stores across the country, SuperValu is already a huge supporter of the GAA locally and nationally.

SuperValu sponsors the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, they also sponsor the Cork Senior Ladies Football Team and clubs in every community around the country.

The Group headquarters have been located in Cork since their founding by the Musgrave family 148 years ago.
