Gaelic4Mothers&Others Festival of Football & Wellbeing Day 2026
🌸 Gaelic4Mothers&Others Festival of Football & Wellbeing Day 2026
The Gaelic4Mothers&Others Festival of Football & Wellbeing Day returns to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday, 25th July 2026, with 30 teams set to take part in a celebration of women’s sport, wellbeing and community — all in aid of the Cork Mental Health Foundation.
Hosted by Bride Rovers G4M&O, Dromtarriffe Dollies and Carrigtwohill Cougars, and organised by Rosaleen O’Brien, the festival will once again bring together Gaelic4Mothers&Others teams from across Cork and beyond for a fun, inclusive and non-competitive day of football.
The Gaelic4Mothers&Others initiative, run by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) and sponsored nationally by Sports Direct, encourages women aged 25+ to participate in Ladies Gaelic Football regardless of previous experience. With over 600 teams nationwide — including more than 60 in Cork — the programme continues to grow year on year.
Wellbeing will be central to the event, with mental health talks delivered by Healthy Ireland (Cork County Council), family fun activities and yoga hosted by Cork Sports Partnership, and live entertainment throughout the day from Cork’s 96FM.
The festival is proudly supported by Cork GAA, who are providing access to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and its facilities.
