Cork to play Clare in All-Ireland Hurling Championship Round 2 on Saturday

The CCCC has confirmed the dates, times and venues for the Round 2 All-Ireland SHC Qualifier fixtures.

Both matches will take place this Saturday, July 24, and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Galway will play Waterford in Semple Stadium, Thurles at 2pm, while Clare will play Cork in the LIT Gaelic Grounds at 4.30pm.

All-Ireland SHC Round 2 Qualifiers

Waterford v Galway, Semple Stadium, Thurles, 2pm. (Sky Sports)

Saturday, July 31

All-Ireland SHC Quarter-Finals

  • Tipperary v Round 2 Winner
  • Dublin v Round 2 Winner

The Provincial Finalists shall play a Round 2 Winner. Subject to avoidance of repeat pairings, where feasible, a draw shall be made to determine the pairings.


Possible Repeat Pairings for Quarter-Final draw.

  • Tipperary/Clare
  • Dublin/Galway

If Clare and/or Dublin win, no draw is required due to avoidance of repeat pairings.

If both Cork & Waterford win a draw is required to see which Round 2 Winner Tipperary & Dublin play in the Quarter Finals.

The draw for Round 2 of the All-Ireland SHC Qualifiers took place on Radio 1 this morning.

Cork will play Clare and Waterford will play Galway with both matches taking place this weekend.

The GAA CCCC will announce the dates, times and venues of both matches later today.
