Cork came out on top with three wins at the Munster Scór na nÓg Final held last Sunday, April 3rd 2022, in Halla na Féile, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

The day’s proceedings got underway with the initial Table Quiz round starting at 12 noon with Máistir na gCeist, Tony McAuliffe of Lismire GAA asking the questions. It was fantastic to see each county represented. Clonakility of Cork, Tralee Parnells of Kerry and Newport of Tipperary qualified for the stage round later in the day and in doing so booked their place to the All-Ireland Final!

Bean a Tí, Muireann Ní Mhacháin of Kanturk GAA sang Amhrán na bhFiann beautifully and compered the day’s proceedings with ease.

While the results were being checked, a song representing each of our six counties rang out through the hall, building the excitement among the packed attendance. Clonakility saw themselves win a first ever Munster Scór title in their club’s history while neighbouring Carbery club, St. James’ were crowned Nuachleas champions following on from their recent Provincial success in Bailéad Ghrúpa at Scór Sinsir level. Duhallow club Boherbue took home the Ceol Uirlise crown. Incidentally, this is the same competition their Scór Sinsir counterparts won in Cashel last October!

An excellent day’s entertainment was provided by all competitors. The winners on the day were as follows and we wish them the very best of luck representing their club, county and province in the All-Ireland Final which will be held on Sunday 1st of May 2022 in the Gleneagle INEC Arena, Killarney.
