Round 3 Fixtures:

Bride Rovers v Inniscarra

Killeagh v Na Piarsaigh

Bride Rovers

  • Bride Rovers have won the group regardless of the result in their final round game against Inniscarra due to their head-to-head results against Killeagh and Na Piarsaigh.

Killeagh

  • A win will see them qualify for the knockout stages.
  • A draw is enough due to their superior scoring difference.
  • If Killeagh lose, Na Piarsaigh will qualify.

Na Piarsaigh

  • Must win to ensure qualification
  • Draw or loss and they will be eliminated.

Inniscarra

  • Will finish bottom of the group
  • Require a result against Bride Rovers to avoid the Relegation final.

 

Senior A Hurling Championship Group B

Round 3 Fixtures:

Newcestown v Courcey Rovers

Blarney v Ballyhea

Newcestown

  • Newcestown have won the group regardless of the result in their final round game against Courcey Rovers due to their head-to-head results against Blarney and Ballyhea.

Blarney

  • A win will be enough to progress to the knockout stages.
  • A draw is enough due to their superior scoring difference to Ballyhea.

Ballyhea

  • Must win to qualify for the knockout stage.

Courcey Rovers

  • Will finish bottom of the group
  • Will avoid the relegation final if they finish with a superior scoring difference compared to both Mallow and Inniscarra.

 

Senior A Hurling Championship Group C

Round 3 Fixtures:

Carrigtwohill v Fermoy

Cloyne v Mallow

Carrigtwohill

  • If Carrigtwohill win or draw against Fermoy, they will qualify and win the group.
  • If Carrigtwohill lose, they will require Mallow to beat Cloyne in the other game in this group to qualify in second place due to the head-to-head vs Fermoy.
  • If Carrigtwohill lose and Cloyne beat Mallow, scoring difference will decide this group. Carrigtwohill can lose by 9 points and qualify in this scenario.

Cloyne

  • If Cloyne win and Carrigtwohill win, Cloyne will qualify in second place.
  • If Cloyne draw, they will qualify if Carrigtwohill beat Fermoy.
  • If Cloyne win and Fermoy beat Carrigtwohill, then Cloyne need a better scoring difference than Fermoy or Carrigtwohill to qualify for the next round.
  • If Cloyne lose and Carrigtwohill win, then three teams finish on 2 points. In this scenario, scoring difference will decide the order of 2nd to 4th place. Cloyne would need to lose by less than 6 points to Mallow and lose by as little or less than Fermoy.

Fermoy

  • Will top the group with a win over Carrigtwohill only if Mallow beat Cloyne.
  • If Fermoy draw, they will need Mallow to beat Cloyne.
  • If Fermoy lose and Cloyne win, Fermoy will be eliminated.
  • If Fermoy beat Carrigtwohill and Cloyne beat Mallow, then Carrigtwohill, Fermoy and Cloyne will all finish on 4 points. In this scenario, Fermoy would require a 10 point victory over Carrigtwohill. Fermoy would also progress by winning by two more than Cloyne.

Mallow

  • If Mallow win, they will avoid finishing bottom of the group.
  • If Mallow win and Carrigtwohill beat Fermoy, then they would require better scoring difference than Fermoy and Cloyne to finish 2nd and progress.
  • If Mallow win and Fermoy win or draw, they will finish third on the head-to-head against Cloyne.
  • If Mallow draw or lose, they will finish bottom and be in the relegation final.
