McCarthy Insurance Group Intermediate ‘A’ Football Championship reaches Knock out Stages;

The McCarthy Insurance Group Intermediate ‘A’ Football championship has reached the knock out stages with two quarter finals and a relegation play off down for decision this weekend.

Mallow houses the first quarter final between clubs from Duhallow and Avondubh on Saturday 28th September at 5.30pm when Boherbue clash with Glanworth.

Boherbue tasted success over city sides, Na Piarsaigh and St Finbarrs before losing out to Glanmire in their last group stage.

Glanworth, for their part defeated Ballinora and St Vincents before losing to near neighbours Mitchelstown last time out.

The second quarter final is the opening tie at Pairc Ui Rinn on Sunday 29th September between Gabriel Rangers and Mitchelstown 2pm.

Gabriel Rangers defeated Kildorrery and Dromtarriffe before losing to Adrigole last time out. Mitchelstown defeated St Vincents and Glanworth, either side of a defeat to Ballinora.

In the relegation play off, city sides Na Pairsaigh and St Vincents face off at Mayfield on Saturday 28th September 4pm. Both sides drew a blank in their group stage games with Na Piarsaigh losing out to Boherbue, Glanmire and St Finbarrs, while St Vincents went under to Mitchelstown, Glanworth and Ballinora.
