McCarthy Insurance Group Senior ‘A’ Football Offers enticing games;
The McCarthy Insurance Group Senior ‘A’ Football Championship offers enticing ties with two quarter finals and a Relegation final down for decision.
On Friday 27th September, Macroom houses the quarter final tie between Dohenys and Cill Na Martra at 7.45pm with Knocknagree awaiting the winners in the semi Final.
Dohenys recovered from a two point defeat to Kanturk in the opening round before recovering to gain the spoils over Fermoy and O’Donovan Rossa.
Cill na Martra had wins over Kiskeam and near neighbours Beal Athan Ghaorthaidh before losing out to Carrigaline last time out.
The second Quarter final tie brings Carrigaline and Bishopstown into opposition at Pairc Ui Rinn also on Saturday 28th September with a 7.15pm.
Carrigaline have a 100% record from the group stages defeating Beal Athan Ghaorthaidh, Kiskeam and Cill na Martra, while Bishopstown defeated Clyda Rovers and Newmarket before losing out to Knocknagree last time out.
In the Relegation Play Off, its the clash of Clyda Rovers and Kiskeam at Kanturk on Saturday 28th September with a 4pm start. Both sides lost their three group stage games, with Clyda Rovers losing out to Bishopstown, Knocknagree and Newmarket. Kiskeam lost out to Cill na Martra, Carrigaline and Neal Athan Ghaorthaidh.
