County Championship Fixture Update
At this evening’s County CCC meeting, the impact of the current weather forecast on this weekend’s County Championship fixtures was considered.All fixtures, as circulated previously and as posted currently on the Cork GAA website, still stand.
However, Saturday’s Orange weather warning for the county is noted.
The alternative fixture programme listed below on Table 1 will come into effect if an Orange weather warning remains in place at 1pm on tomorrow Friday, Oct 4th.
This will be confirmed, either way, soon after 1pm tomorrow.
At 10am on Sunday, October 6th, pitch inspections will take place at the various venues and an update on all games will follow shortly afterwards at 10.30am.
The knock-on effect of the possible changes outlined on Divisional fixtures is noted and this will be taken into account when adjusting County deadlines for such competitions.
