Intermediate A Hurling Championship – Semi-Finals Await

The Co-Op Superstores Intermediate ‘A’ Championship continues to deliver thrills and surprises, with the quarter-finals leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Bandon and Erin’s Own produced a high-scoring shootout that had spectators captivated throughout. Despite a valiant effort from Erin’s Own, Bandon emerged victorious, 3-19 to 4-10 , thanks to their decisive finishing in the closing stages. Meanwhile, Aghabullogue staged a strong second-half comeback to see off Midleton 1-18 to 1-12, booking their place in the semi-finals.

The semi-final pairings are now set: Sarsfields face Bandon, while Aghada take on Aghabullogue. Both encounters are scheduled for October and are expected to attract significant interest.

In the relegation play-off, Youghal secured their Intermediate A status with a hard-fought win over Mayfield. Goals proved decisive as Youghal ran out 3-14 to 1-16 victors, condemning Mayfield to relegation.
