Mallow GAA Hosts Opening Event of Cork GAA Sustainability Roadshow

Cork GAA’s new Rebels Going Green initiative will kick off on
Monday, October 13th at Mallow GAA, marking the first stop in the countywide
Sustainability Roadshow Series.

Delivered in partnership with Cork City Council, Cork County Council,
and the GAA Green Club Programme, the series aims to support clubs across Cork in embedding
sustainable practices into every aspect of club life — from facilities and energy use to biodiversity and
community engagement.


🌍 What to Expect

The Mallow session will feature:

  • An overview of Cork GAA’s Rebels Going Green strategy and sustainability goals
  • Insights from clubs already active in the GAA Green Club Programme
  • Guidance from SEAI and local authority representatives on funding opportunities
    and practical steps for greener operations
  • Club discussions and planning sessions tailored to all clubs in Cork.
  • This event is open to all clubs across Cork. Register below and details of our next Roadshow are also included below
