Cork GAA and Rebel Óg Launch New U18 Football Summer Tournament
As part of a new initiative to provide a high-quality games programme for club players during the summer months, Cork GAA and Rebel Óg have joined forces to launch an exciting U18 Football Summer Tournament for non-exam players.
The competition aims to provide meaningful and competitive football opportunities during June, ensuring players continue to develop and enjoy the game in a structured inter-divisional format.
Six divisional teams will compete across three rounds of fixtures:
- Avondhu
- Carbery/Beara
- Duhallow
- Imokilly
- Muskerry/Carrigdhoun
- Seandún
Round 1 Fixtures
Wednesday, June 10th
Castletownroche – 7:00pm
Avondhu v Duhallow
Ballinlough – 7:00pm
Seandún v Imokilly
Macroom – 7:45pm
Muskerry/Carrigdhoun v Carbery/Beara
Round 2 Fixtures
Wednesday, June 17th
Following the opening round, the three winning teams will be placed in Bowl 1, while the three losing teams will be placed in Bowl 2. Teams from Bowl 1 will then be drawn against teams from Bowl 2 to determine the next round of fixtures.
Finals Round
Wednesday, June 24th
The tournament will conclude with three finals, with teams competing for:
- Cup Final
- Shield Final
- Plate Final
This new competition represents a positive collaboration between Cork GAA and Rebel Óg, offering players an opportunity to represent their divisions, play high-quality football and remain actively engaged during the summer period.
