Cork GAA recently marked the launch of the 2026 Co-Op Superstores Cork County Hurling Championships at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, as clubs across the county prepare for another exciting championship season.

Co-Op Superstores proud to continue support

Looking forward to the new season, Jerry Riordan, Retail Operations Manager at Co-Op Superstores, said:

“We are delighted to continue our support of the Cork hurling championships this year. Hurling is at the heart of communities across Cork, and the passion for the game remains as strong as ever. These championships provide a fantastic showcase for the talent, commitment and community spirit that exists within clubs throughout the county.

As a business rooted in these communities, Co-Op Superstores is proud to support the players, volunteers and supporters who make the championships such a highlight of the sporting calendar. We wish all teams the very best of luck for the season ahead.”

Cork GAA Chairperson Pat Horgan also welcomed the launch of the championships and highlighted the strength of the county’s competition structures.

“Our championship structure across six separate competitions ensures that each grade is really competitive, and that clubs have meaningful games in which to compete. I am sure this will be the case once again in 2026.

I wish to thank Co-Op Superstores for their generous sponsorship. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Clubber TV this season as they continue to broadcast many of our games.”

Kevin O’Donovan, CEO/Secretary of Cork GAA, reflected on the strong connection between Cork supporters and the game of hurling.

“The remarkable following associated with our county senior hurling team over the last number of years shows us, once again, how much love Cork people have for the game. We look forward to our clubs treating our supporters to a wonderful series of championship games again this year, supported by Co-Op Superstores.”

Cork GAA and Co-Op Superstores wish all teams the very best of luck in the 2026 championships and look forward to continuing their partnership in the year ahead.
