Sunday Hurling Championship Round-Up:

There were a number of competitive encounters across Sunday’s Co-Op Superstores Cork Hurling Championships, with several teams recording opening round victories.

In the Co-Op Superstores Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship, Aghabullogue defeated neighbours Éire Óg 3-22 to 2-15 in the Muskerry derby in Cloughduv.

Kilworth recovered from an early six-point deficit to overcome Ballymartle 3-25 to 2-20, while Ballincollig produced a strong finish to defeat Bishopstown 1-24 to 2-13, with Stephen Wills contributing 12 points.

Castlemartyr began their campaign with a 3-19 to 1-22 win over Lisgoold, with goals from Billy McGann and Barry Lawton proving decisive.

Cloyne completed a late comeback against Dungourney at Clonmult Memorial Park, with Michael Cahill’s late goal securing a 2-15 to 1-17 victory after Dungourney had led for much of the game.

In the Co-Op Superstores Intermediate ‘A’ Hurling Championship, Kilbrittain recorded a 3-21 to 1-13 victory over Russell Rovers. Blackrock defeated Kildorrery 1-16 to 0-11, while Youghal overcame Ballygiblin 1-14 to 0-16. Sarsfields and Erin’s Own produced a high-scoring contest, with Sarsfields winning 3-16 to 3-14.

In the Co-Op Superstores Premier Junior Hurling Championship, Ballygarvan defeated Glen Rovers 4-20 to 1-13, while Argideen Rangers recorded a 2-16 to 1-8 victory over Mayfield.
