Cork GAA Launch Sustainable Clubs Competition with PepsiCo

Cork GAA are delighted to announce the Sustainable Clubs Competition, in partnership with PepsiCo, Positive Action Partner with Cork GAA.

The competition invites Cork GAA clubs to share their sustainability journey, current initiatives and future plans, with three clubs set to receive a sustainability grant along with professional advice to help them progress their sustainability journey.

Three Sustainability Grants

There will be three winning clubs, with each winner receiving:

  • A sustainability grant
  • Professional advice and guidance on how best to progress their sustainability plans
  • Recognition for the positive sustainability work taking place within their club and community

Enda Buckley, Cork GAA Sustainability Officer, said:

“Cork GAA aims to reduce its environmental footprint, strengthen community connections, and ensure long-term sustainability. The Sustainable Club Competition will allow us to recognise clubs who are prioritising sustainability within their community.

“We welcome all our clubs to enter and share their stories. I would like to thank PepsiCo for their vision and support as our Positive Action Partner and to the Sustainability Committee for their time and expertise.”

Enter the Competition

The Sustainable Club Competition is now open and all Cork GAA clubs are encouraged to get involved and share the sustainability work taking place in their club.

Closing date for applications: Monday, September 21st

Following the closing date, a number of clubs will be shortlisted, with the three winning clubs announced on Saturday, October 25th at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
