Co-Op Superstores Cork Hurling Championships reach semi-final stage

Twenty teams remain in contention across five grades as the 2026 Co-Op Superstores Cork County Hurling Championships enter their decisive stages.

Following the completion of the group and quarter-final programme, the semi-final line-ups are now confirmed in the Premier Senior, Senior ‘A’, Premier Intermediate, Intermediate ‘A’ and Premier Junior Hurling Championships.

Speaking at Coop Superstores Middleton, Cork GAA Vice-Chairperson, Noel O’Callaghan said:

“We have reached a very exciting stage of the Co-Op Superstores Cork Hurling Championships, with 20 clubs now just one game away from a county final.

“Across the five grades, we have seen some excellent hurling and some very competitive championship games throughout the summer. The work that goes into reaching this stage is significant, from the players and management teams to the clubs and everyone who supports them.

“We now look forward to five county finals being decided, and I would encourage supporters to get behind their clubs and attend the semi-finals over the coming days. We wish all 20 teams the very best of luck as they compete for their place in a county final.”

Co-Op Superstores Operations Manager Jerry Riordan shared:

Premier Senior Hurling Championship

The Co-Op Superstores Premier SHC has produced a semi-final line-up featuring Kanturk, St Finbarr’s, Midleton and Glen Rovers.

Kanturk came through a high-scoring quarter-final against Sarsfields, winning 4-19 to 1-25 in Mallow.

St Finbarr’s secured their place in the last four with a 1-24 to 1-13 victory over Imokilly, while Glen Rovers edged past Charleville by 2-21 to 1-20. Midleton had a bye to the Semi-Final as they topped rankings at the group stages.

Senior ‘A’ Hurling Championship

Blarney, Carrigtwohill, Erins Own and Watergrasshill remain in contention for the Co-Op Superstores Senior ‘A’ Hurling Championship title.

Carrigtwohill came through a tight quarter-final against Na Piarsaigh after penalties, while Watergrasshill survived a high-scoring contest against Ballinhassig.

Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship

The Co-Op Superstores Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship has produced a semi-final line-up of Valley Rovers, Dungourney, Ballincollig and Carrigaline.

Dungourney edged a dramatic quarter-final against Aghabullogue, while Carrigaline produced an impressive quarter-final display against Cloyne.
