The event was also attended by Cork GAA County Board officials, including chairman Pat Horgan, and McCarthy Insurance Group, proud sponsors of the football championships.

Speaking at the launch, Pat Horgan said:

“Our championship structures led to very exciting games at all levels, and allowed clubs to experience a number of meaningful matches. I am looking forward to a wonderful championship season across all of our competitions again this season, and I want to wish all our clubs and players well.”

He also thanked McCarthy Insurance Group for their continued support, saying their sponsorship plays a vital role in the development and promotion of club football across the county.

Brendan Harrington, CEO of McCarthy Insurance Group, echoed the excitement for the season ahead:

“We are delighted to be associated with Cork football again this year. We have enjoyed some very close and competitive league finals over the last two weeks, and the large crowds in attendance at the matches shows the huge appetite for football in Cork. We hope the championships this year will give us plenty to savour over the coming months.”

Cork GAA CEO Kevin O’Donovan also welcomed the launch of the new campaign, highlighting the importance of media coverage and digital accessibility. He welcomed the continued partnership with Clubber, who will provide online coverage of the 2025 championships:

“Our partnership with Clubber will allow us to promote our teams and competitions to a large audience across the county and beyond. This is important as we seek to promote our teams and our games, and strive to ensure that football at all levels in Cork gets the coverage and audience that it deserves.”

The 2025 club football season now begins in earnest, with clubs across all grades set to compete in what promises to be another thrilling championship.
