The Rebels showed immense character to record their fourth consecutive win, a result that keeps their promotion dreams very much alive. A pivotal 1-3 scoring burst before halftime, capped by a brilliant Chris Óg Jones goal, gave Cork a vital cushion. While Meath mounted a fierce late comeback, heroic defensive blocks from Seán Meehan and Luke Fahy in the dying moments preserved the win for the clinical Leesiders.
