One Cork Dublin Launch Golf Classic in Powerscourt Golf Club

Patrick Horgan and Seán Óg Ó hAilpín may be renowned on Leeside for their skills on the hurling field, but the camán was swapped for the golf club when they joined the launch of Cork GAA’s One Cork Powerscourt Golf Classic at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh this week, along with the Rebels’ football captain, Daniel O’Mahony, Cork GAA Commercial Director Sinéad O’Keeffe and County Board Chairman Pat Horgan.
One Cork, a collaborative fundraising entity where Cork people from far and wide come together to support the county teams, is spearheading the event, which takes place in the prestigious Powerscourt Golf Club in Co Wicklow on Thursday 29 August 2025.
Speaking at the launch event, Cork GAA Chairman Pat Horgan noted that the golf classic had become a welcome annual fixture on the Cork GAA calendar, and that it provided an opportunity for Cork’s passionate support base to enjoy a great experience while also contributing to the championship endeavours of Cork hurling and football teams.
Pat welcomed the support of Procure.ie, and noted the crucial role that the county’s sponsors played in supporting Cork GAA, noting that ‘the massive commitment of our various panels and backroom teams to bring silverware to Cork needs to be supported, and we do appreciate the contribution of Procure.ie, represented here by our own former great and All Ireland winning captain, Seán Óg, to this joint effort.
To help support the ongoing preparation of the county senior teams, teams of four are invited to participate in the event for €1,250, which includes the option to buy two All-2025 Ireland Final tickets for 2025 (choice of Hurling or Football, payment before May 23rd to guarantee tickets).
The event features two shotgun starts, one at 8:30am and another at 1:30pm, on the East Course. Additionally, tee box sponsorship opportunities are available for €300. For further details, visit One Cork Golf-Powerscourt Golf Club –
