Gaelic4Mothers&Others Festival of Football & Wellbeing Day a Huge Success at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh

The Gaelic4Mothers&Others (G4M&O) Festival of Football & Wellbeing Day recently took place at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh, with the event held in aid of the Cork Mental Health Foundation.

G4M&O is a Ladies Gaelic Football initiative that gives women of all ages the opportunity to enjoy the sport in a fun, supportive environment. This year, over 550 women had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to play on the magnificent Páirc Uí Chaoimh pitch.

A total of thirty teams from across Cork participated in the full-day festival, which combined football matches with wellbeing and positive mental health talks provided by Healthy Ireland, Cork County Council.

At the cheque presentation to Cork Mental Health Foundation, the following were in attendance:

  • Rosaleen O’Brien, Event Organiser

  • Louise Burke, Sports Development Officer, Cork Sports Partnership

  • Sinead O’Keeffe, Commercial Director, Cork GAA & SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh
