U20s win at home against Limerick

Cork U20s recovered from a slow start to secure a convincing 4-18 to 0-21 victory over Limerick in the Munster U20 Hurling Championship at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Wednesday night.

After falling four points behind early on, Cork responded strongly, hitting two first-half goals through Barry O’Flynn and Barry Walsh to take a 2-11 to 0-11 lead into the break.

Walsh proved the standout performer, finishing with an impressive 2-9 tally.

Cork took full control after half-time, with Walsh converting a penalty following a black card for Limerick, before a fourth goal from Johnny Murphy sealed the result. The Rebels’ dominant second-half display ensured a comfortable win, bouncing back from their opening round defeat.
