50 coaches attend nursey Coaching conference

Cork GAA Coaching arm, Rebel Og Coaching, hosted their first of three Coaching conferences on Saturday last.

The nursey conference was first up with over 50 coaches in attendance.

The speakers on the day included former Waterford Senior Hurler and lead Nursey skills coach Brian O’Halloran.

Head of Coach and Player Development in Wexford, Niall Williams, was the second speaker.

Our own Cork GAA GDA, Colm Crowley, was the third speaker on the day.

 

 

The coaches listened to presentations, reviewed examples of coaching at the nursery level, and got involved in practical activities as part of the conference.

Conor Counihan Kicking Skills Workshop takes place

On Saturday last, Conor Counihan hosted his Kicking Skills Workshop in MTU.

The event looked at Free taking, kicking from hands, from the ground, and the key coaching skills on kicking.

Over 70 participants attended the workshop, including club coaches, squad mentors, and players.

Coaches who participated in the workshop included Cork Greats Larry Tompkins, Alan Quirke, Colm O’Neill, Donnacha O’Connor, Paddy Kelly, Stephen Sherlock, and Daniel Goulding.
