Cork U20 management team confirmed

 

At the September meeting of Cork County Committee, the nomination of  Éire Óg’s Ray O’ Mahony as manager of U20 footballers was confirmed. Michael O’Brien, Ballincollig  will be the coach of the team. Full details of the management team are listed below

  • Eamonn O’ Connor, Kildorrery – Asst. Coach
  • James Condon, Glanworth – Forwards Coach

Round 3 Fixtures:

Castletownbere v Bandon

Rockchapel v Nemo Rangers

Castletownbere

  • Need a draw to top the group.
  • If Castletownbere lose to Bandon and Rockchapel beat Nemo Rangers, 1st to 3rd would finish on 4 points. Points difference would decide the positions in this scenario.

Rockchapel

  • Win vs Nemo Rangers and they will qualify in second place regardless.
  • If Rockchapel win and Bandon beat Castletownbere, 1st to 3rd would finish on 4 points. Points difference would decide the positions in this scenario.
  • A draw will be good enough to qualify in second place if Castletownbere beat or draw with Bandon.
  • If Rockchapel lose and Castletownbere beat Bandon, 2nd to 4th would finish on 2 points. Points difference would decide the final positions in this scenario. Rockchapel currently have the better scoring difference.
  • If Rockchapel lose and Bandon draw, Rockchapel will finish bottom on head-to-head vs Nemo.

Bandon

  • Win vs Castletownbere and Nemo Rangers beat Rockchapel, Bandon will qualify and top the group on head-to-head.
  • If Bandon win and Rockchapel beat Nemo Rangers, 1st to 3rd will finish on 4 points each and points difference would decide the finishing order.
  • If Bandon draw and Nemo Rangers beat Rockchapel, Bandon will qualify.
  • If Bandon draw and Rockchapel draw, Bandon will be eliminated.
  • If Bandon lose they will be eliminated.

Nemo Rangers

  • If Nemo Rangers win and Castletownbere beat Bandon, 2nd to 4th would finish on 2 points. Points difference would decide the final positions in this scenario.
  • Will need to win and Bandon to at least draw to avoid finishing bottom.

Bantry Blues

  • Bantry Blues have qualified and topped the group.

Uibh Laoire

  • Uibh Laoire need a draw to finish second.
  • If Uibh Laoire lose they will finish third.

Naomh Abán

  • Must beat Uibh Laoire to finish second.
  • A draw or loss and they will be eliminated.

Macroom

  • Will finish bottom of the group

  • Will qualify with a draw.
  • If Cill Na Martra lose to Na Piarsaigh and Kilshannig win vs Aghada, Cill Na Martra will qualify.
  • If Cill Na Martra lose to Na Piarsiagh and Kilshannig draw with Aghada, Cill Na Martra will qualify on head-to-head over Aghada.

Kilshannig

  • Will qualify with a draw
  • If Kilshannig lose to Aghada, they will need Na Piarsaigh to beat Cill Na Martra to qualify on scoring difference due to drawing with Cill Na Martra in Round 2.

Aghada

  • Must beat Kilshannig to qualify.
  • Won’t finish bottom of the group

  • Will finish bottom of the group

– Will finish third with a loss.

– Must beat St Vincents to finish second
– A draw or loss and they will be eliminated

Adrigole v Glenville

Aghabullogue
– Need a draw or win to go through top of the group
– If Aghabullogue lose and Adrigole win, this would mean 1st to 3rd would finish on 4 points and would be decided on point difference. Aghabullogue have a superior points difference so would more than likely qualify.
– If Aghabullogue lose and Glenville win, this would mean Aghabullogue go through in second behind Gabriel Rangers on head-to-head.

Adrigole
– Adrigole will go through if Gabriel Rangers don’t better their result.

Gabriel Rangers
– Must win or draw and Adrigole lose to go through.
– If Glenville win and Gabriel Rangers lose, 2nd to 4th would finish on 2 points each. Points difference would decide these positions and currently Gabriel Rangers have a better points difference to both Adrigole and Glenville so would likely qualify.
– Lose and they will be eliminated.

Glenville
– Can still go through with a win and Gabriel Rangers losing by surpassing both Adrigole’s and Gabriel Rangers points difference.
– Draw or lose and they will be eliminated and finish bottom.

Boherbue v Kildorrery

Mitchelstown v Ballinora

Boherbue
– Draw or win vs Kildorrery and they will qualify.
– If Boherbue draw and Mitchelstown win, Boherbue qualify in second.
– If both Boherbue and Mitchelstown draw, Boherbue remain top.
– If Boherbue lose and Mitchelstown lose, Boherbue go through in second place.
– If Boherbue lose and Mitchelstown draw or win, Boherbue eliminated.

Mitchelstown
– Draw or win and they will qualify.
