Cork GAA publish details of 2020 County league programme.

Full fixtures details for both football and hurling leagues have been published on our website www.gaacork.ie.

Football leagues from Division 1 (Kelleher Shield) to Division 5 will commence on February 2nd , football teams will have a double round of games before the hurling leagues start on February 16th with a double round.

Cork Hurling team to play Limerick in Munster Senior Hurling League Final

Cork Senior Hurlers will play Limerick on Saturday evening at 7:30pm in LIT Gaelic Grounds Limerick in the final of the Munster Senior Hurling League.

Cork Senior Football Team to play Limerick in McGrath Cup Final

Cork Senior Footballers will play Limerick on Saturday evening at 5:30pm in LIT Gaelic Grounds Limerick in the final of the McGrath Cup 2020

Cork U20’s footballers host Galway

Cork U20’s footballers will host Galway U20s on Saturday next in Round 2 of the John Kerins Cup. The game will take place in Mallow GAA complex with a 7pm start.

Cork beat Kerry in their opening game by a point, 1-19 to 3-12. The Cork team to play in the game will be published later in the week.

Cork vs Limerick in Munster Senior Hurling League Final

 

Cork will play Limerick in the Co-Op Superstores Munster Hurling League Final on Saturday January 11th at 7:30pm in the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Kevin Jordan from Tipperary has been appointed referee for the game.

Cork had wins over Kerry and Waterford in the group stages to qualify for the final. Limerick beat Clare and Tipperary to book their place in the final.

Cork’s last success in the Munster Senior League was in 2017, Limerick took the honors last in 2018.

This season’s format included all  six teams in the Munster League, split into two groups of three. During the course of the four-week season each team plays the others in their group once (a single round-robin system) for a total of two games. The top team in each group after the group stage contest the final.

The team for the final will be announced later this week.
