HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR PRELIMINARY QUARTER-FINALS
Kilkenny and Limerick are through to the All-Ireland semi-finals…Dublin and Clare through to the quarter-finals…
Cork, Offaly, Wexford, Laois seeking a place in the quarter-finals…that’s the state of play in the GAA hurling All-Ireland championship.
The quarter-final line-up will be completed next Saturday when Cork play Offaly in Tullamore and Wexford play Laois in Portlaoise in the preliminary quarter-finals.
The Cork/Offaly winners will play Dublin and the Wexford/Laois winners will
play Clare in the quarter-finals.
Limerick won the Munster title on Sunday, beating Clare and creating a record by becoming the first county to take six successive southern crowns.
Kilkenny won Leinster for a fifth successive year when beating Dublin.
Limerick and Kilkenny won’t be in action against until the weekend of July 6/7 when they face All-Ireland semi-final engagements with two from Clare, Dublin, Cork, Offaly, Wexford, Laois.
