Cork U20 Football Statement
Cork GAA will propose the appointment of Ray O’Mahony (Éire Óg) as Cork U20 Football manager for a two-year term at Tuesday’s County Committee meeting.
He will be joined by Michael O’Brien (Ballincollig) as coach, with additional selectors to be announced in the near future.
Both Ray and Michael have previously served as mentors in the County Development Squads and as Cork Minor Football Managers in 2023 and 2021/2022, respectively.
Chairperson Marc Sheehan, welcomed the appointment, stating, “Ray and Michael bring a wealth of experience from their time with our underage teams, as we hope to build on the good work done at Minor level over recent times.”
Cork GAA Secretary / CEO, Kevin O’Donovan said “The appointment of this group is a further indication of our desire to provide a pathway for mentors through the system, while ensuring a continuous flow of competent players to our senior panel.”

Down to the Wire- Hurling Preview on Rebels Online

 

In an exciting buildup to the highly anticipated Co-Op Superstores Hurling Championship Round 3 games, Rebels Online hosted our first Preview Programme, “Down to the Wire” .

Guiding the audience through the intricacies of the championship’s forthcoming clashes was our lead commentator, Patrick Mulcahy. Adding a layer of authenticity and expertise to the proceedings, two icons of Cork Hurling, Mark Landers and Ronan Curran were part of the panel. 

With enthusiasm and insightful analysis, Landers and Curran delved into the upcoming weekend’s fixtures from the Premier Senior to the riveting contests in Senior A, Premier Intermediate, Intermediate ‘A,’ and Premier Junior. 

Rebels Online’s “Down to the Wire” event marked a momentous juncture in the championship’s round 3 games.

Thursday, August 31st, the August Rebels’ Bounty Draw will be broadcast live from SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

Be sure to catch the livestream on the Cork GAA website or Rebels Online.

With a total prize pool of €39,200, including a top prize of €25,000, there are 30 chances to win big.

Winners will be announced for prizes ranging from €3,000 to €150 for those who placed second to thirtieth.
