Munster GAA Club Development Grants 2023

Munster GAA is pleased to confirm the window for applications for Club Development Grants from Central Council and Munster Council is now open as of  Thursday September 14th.

The Club Development grants are a very important and tangible form of support from Central Council and Munster Council to clubs seeking to develop new facilities and improve existing ones.

The overall scheme consists of two schemes rolled in to one – Central Council and Munster Council with the overall budget to be confirmed once applications have been submitted and considered.

The scheme consists of 6 categories of funding at club level. Clubs are advised to submit their applications to their County Safety and Facilities Officer by the closing date of Friday September 29th. The County Safety and Facilities Officer will work in tandem with the Munster Council delegate on the Planning and Physical Development Committee to proof all applications before submitting them to the Council.

Rebels Online to stream Premier 1 Minor Hurling Final tonight

 

Tonight, Cork GAA’s streaming platform, Rebels Online, is set to broadcast the Premier 1 Minor Football Final featuring city rivals St. Finbarr’s and Douglas. The game is scheduled to throw in at 8pm, and the live coverage will begin at 7:50pm.

Round 3 Fixtures:

Clonakilty v Castlehaven

Carbery Rangers v Valley Rovers

Clonakilty

  • Clonakilty will top the group if they win.
  • Clonakilty will qualify for the next round with a draw.
  • If Clonakilty lose and Valley Rovers beat Carbery Rangers, Clonakilty will qualify
  • If Clonakilty lose by less than 8 points and Carbery Rangers draw with Valley Rovers, Clonakilty will qualify.

Castlehaven

  • Castlehaven will top the group with a win.
  • Castlehaven will qualify with a draw if Carbery Rangers don’t win by 7 points or more.
  • If Castlehaven lose, they will qualify if Valley Rovers beat Carbery Rangers
  • If Castlehaven lose by less than 6 points and Carbery Rangers draw with Valley Rovers, Castlehaven will qualify.

Carbery Rangers

  • Carbery can qualify with a win and a winner in the Castlehaven v Clonakilty game.
  • If Carbery Rangers draw and Clonakilty win by 7 points or more, Carbery Rangers will qualify.
  • If Carbery Rangers draw and Castlehaven beat Clonakilty by 9 points or more, Carbery Rangers will qualify.
  • With a loss, Carbery Rangers will finish bottom of the group.

Valley Rovers

  • Can’t qualify from the group.
  • Must beat Carbery Rangers to avoid finishing bottom of the group.

 

Premier Senior Football Championship Group B

Round 3 Fixtures:

Nemo Rangers v Carrigaline

Ballincollig v Éire Óg

Nemo Rangers

  • Have qualified and topped the group.

Éire Óg

  • Éire Óg need a draw to finish second.
  • If Éire Óg lose they will finish third.

Ballincollig

  • Must beat Éire Óg to finish second.
  • A draw or loss will eliminate Ballincollig.

Carrigaline

  • Will finish bottom of the group due regardless if they win due to previous results.

 

Premier Senior Football Championship Group C

Round 3 Fixtures:

St Finbarr’s v Douglas

Mallow v St Michael’s

St Finbarr’s

  • Will qualify win, lose or draw.
  • Need a draw to finish top.
  • Lose and they will finish second in the group behind Douglas on head-to-head.
  • If St Finbarr’s lose and Mallow win, 1st to 3rd would finish on 4 points and points difference will decide the final order. St Finbarr’s have a superior points difference so have the advantage.

Mallow

  • Will qualify with a draw.
  • If Mallow lose and St Finbarr’s win, 2nd to 4th will all be on 2 points and points difference will decide the final order.

Douglas

  • Must draw or win and need Mallow to lose to qualify.
  • If Douglas lose and St Michael’s win, 2nd to 4th will all be on 2 points and points difference will decide the final order.

St Michael’s

  • Must draw or win and hope Douglas lose to give them a chance of not finishing bottom of the group on points difference.
