In 2023, Scór na nÓg will reach a historic milestone with it being 50 years since the first All-Ireland of this competition took place. With this in mind, we would love to see an extra special effort being made by all the clubs and divisions throughout the county and to participate in this special year for Scór na nÓg. In 1973, the first All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Final was held and Cork had two All-Ireland Champions on the day, so let’s continue our rich Scór tradition and take part 50 years on in 2023.
Remember there are eight events/disciplines in Scór that cover all aspects of Irish culture: Rince Foirne/Figure Dancing, Amhránaíocht Aonair/Solo Singing, Bailéad Ghrúpa/Ballad Group, Aithriseoireacht-Scéalaíocht/Recitation-Scéalaíocht, Nuachleas/Novelty Act, Ceol Uirlise/Instrumental Music, Rince Seit/Set Dancing and Tráth na gCeist/Table Quiz. Scór na nÓg, for young people under 17 and Scór na bPáistí is ran by Coiste Scór Chorcaí for primary school children and encompasses the above competions plus, Rince Aonair/Solo Dance, Ceol Aonair/Solo Music and Rince ar Seanós/Seanós Dancing.

County League Formats & Groupings 2023
County Leagues formats and groups for 2023 can be viewed below.
A fully integrated League programme will be in place for 2023, incorporating teams in the county in one overall structure. The new league structure will consist of County Senior Leagues and Divisional Junior Leagues which will allow progression between both levels. There will be no Regional or County Junior Leagues.
The Senior Leagues will consist of seven divisions, in both Hurling and Football, each with ten teams, with the exception of Divisions 6 and 7 which will have 8 teams each. The Divisional Junior Leagues will run, as before. League and Championship grading are hereby largely decoupled.
All group stage games will be scheduled for 11.30am each Sunday but can be changed by agreement.
In all seven Divisions the top two teams will meet in a League Final, with both teams being promoted. The bottom two teams in each Division will be relegated. The bottom two teams in Division 7 of both the Hurling and Football Leagues will be relegated to their respective Divisional Junior League and will be replaced by the winners of the respective Divisional Junior League to which the bottom team is relegated, and/or the County Junior A Championship winners.
