On Sunday Blackrock will play Glen Rovers in the final of the Co-Op Superstores Premier Senior Hurling Final (Sean Óg Murphy Cup). The game will have a 4pm throw in at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and will be shown live on TG4. As there was a clash of colours, Blackrock will wear their traditional colours and Glen Rovers will wear their alternative jersey. The last time the teams met in the final was 1978. Jim Forbes Cup
On Sunday, the winner of the Co-Op Superstores Senior A Hurling Championship, will be presented with the Jim Forbes cup. Jim was a former Chairman of the Cork County Board between 2003 and 2005. and also served in roles as PRO (1997 – 1999) , Vice-Chairman (2000 – 2002) and Youth Officer (1989 – 1991) in his native county. At provincial level, he was elected PRO of the Munster GAA Council in 2008 for a three-year term.
At the time of his death, Jim was the Treasurer of the Carrigdhoun division and the Chairman of the Rebel Óg central region along with being a Vice -President of Cork GAA.
He was a member of the Carrigaline club and also previously served as Chairman of the GAA’s Central Appeals Committee.
The Jim Forbes cup was presented by the Carrigdhoun division to Cork GAA this week.
Castlelyons vs Blarney – Co-Op Superstores Premier Intermediate Hurling Final
On Saturday Castlelyons will play Blarney in the final of the Co-Op Superstores Premier Intermediate Hurling Final (Seamus Long Cup). The game will have a 7pm throw in at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and will be streamed by The Irish Examiner. Both teams have met already in the championship when Castlelyons defeated Blarney 1-20 to 1-14. The programme for tonights game can be found here

County Championship continues this weekend.
This weekend sees action in both the Co-Op Superstores County Hurling Championships and the Bon Secours County Football Championships.
In hurling there is 3 county finals for decision. First up on Saturday will be Blarney vs Castlelyons in the Premier Intermediate Hurling Final. This game will have a 7pm throw in at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh and will be streamed live by The Irish Examiner. On Sunday there is 2 more hurling finals down for decision. Charleville will play Fr O’ Neills at 12.30pm in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in the Senior A Hurling Final and this game will also be streamed by the Irish Examiner. It is a 4pm throw in for the Premier Senior Hurling Final when Blackrock will play Glen Rovers and this game will be shown live on TG4.

On Sunday Pairc Ui Rinn will host the 2 Semi Finals of the Bon Secours Premier Senior Football Championship. At 2pm defending champions Nemo Rangers will play Duhallow, while at 7pm Castlehaven will play St Finbarrs and both these games will be streamed live by The Irish Examiner. There is also Semi Final games in Senior A, Premier Intermediate and Intermediate Football grades and this weekend sees the commencement of the County Junior Championship in A, B and C grades.
