Cúl Camps in Full Swing Across Cork – Over 18,000 Set to Take Part in 125 Club Camps

Cork’s GAA Kellogg’s Cúl Camps are off to a flying start this summer, with participation numbers soaring across the county. Already, over 3,750 children have taken part in the opening two weeks of camps, with 3,000 attending this week alone and 750 last week.

With 125 club camps scheduled between June and August, Cork’s Cúl Camps programme is not only thriving — it’s officially larger than the entire province of Connacht.

Speaking during a visit to the White’s Cross GAA camp, Cork Cúl Camp Coordinator Paudie Crowley praised the remarkable enthusiasm from young players and the tireless efforts of clubs and coaches:

“It’s brilliant to be here at White’s Cross GAA this week, seeing the pitches full of energy and excitement. We’ve had an incredible response so far – over 3,000 kids are taking part in Cúl Camps across Cork this week alone, and 750 attended last week. It’s a real testament to the work of our clubs, coaches, and volunteers, and to the love young people have for our games.”

Camp for All – Inclusion at the Heart of the GAA

One of the standout highlights of this year’s programme is the ‘Camp for All’, Cork’s fully inclusive Cúl Camp taking place at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. This initiative ensures that all young people, regardless of ability, can enjoy the fun and friendships that Gaelic Games offer.

By creating a supportive, adaptive, and welcoming environment, the Camp for All reflects the GAA’s commitment to accessibility, diversity, and community spirit, making sure that no child is left on the sidelines.

Fun, Friendship & Skills

The Cúl Camps give children aged 6 to 13 an opportunity to enjoy Gaelic Games in a fun and inclusive environment, while learning new skills, building confidence, and making lasting friendships.

Led by qualified, Garda-vetted coaches, the camps focus on football, hurling, camogie, and ladies football, with an emphasis on participation, enjoyment, and development. Whether a child is picking up a hurley for the first time or honing their skills for the next match, there’s something for everyone.
