GAA President Jarlath Burns said: “For the first time ever we have organised an event dedicated solely to supporting our volunteers from right across the full spectrum of the Gaelic games family.
“More than that just an event however, The Club Summit is an opportunity for Clubs – and indeed for us as an Association – to unlock new possibilities. It will connect the people who fuel and drive our organisation, not only with each other, but also with experts, senior leaders and decision makers and external partners, giving us all the opportunity to share our experiences, our knowledge and our ideas for the future.
“Whether via the seminars exploring key topics Clubs are focused on today; the discussion and debates amongst our vastly experienced panellist; or the chance to make valuable connections with external partners, there really is something for every Club and everyone involved in their Club at the Summit.”
Brian Molloy, Uachtarán an Chumann Camógaíochta, said: “The Club Summit is a fantastic and much-needed initiative, and I am delighted that the Camogie Association is partnering with the GAA and LGFA to make it happen. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of every club, and this event gives them the support and practical tools they richly deserve. I want to thank Amazon.ie for their generous backing, which will make the day even more rewarding for those who give so much of their time and energy to our games. I am looking forward to speaking at the event, meeting volunteers from across Ireland and beyond, and celebrating the people who make our games thrive. Táim ag tnúth go mór leis an lá.”
Trina Murray, President of LGFA commented: “Launching this inaugural Club Summit alongside our colleagues in the GAA and the Camogie Association is a moment of real pride for the LGFA. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of every club and community, and this event is a powerful recognition of the passion, commitment and generosity they bring to our Games year after year.
“The Summit at Croke Park will give our volunteers the chance to learn, to share, and to feel truly valued. With expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and opportunities to connect with people who understand the realities of club life, this day will empower those who give so much of themselves to our sport.
“I look forward to welcoming volunteers from across Ireland and beyond as we celebrate their contribution and strengthen our future together.”
