Round 3 Fixtures:

Clonakilty v Castlehaven

Carbery Rangers v Valley Rovers

Clonakilty

  • Clonakilty will top the group if they win.
  • Clonakilty will qualify for the next round with a draw.
  • If Clonakilty lose and Valley Rovers beat Carbery Rangers, Clonakilty will qualify
  • If Clonakilty lose by less than 8 points and Carbery Rangers draw with Valley Rovers, Clonakilty will qualify.

Castlehaven

  • Castlehaven will top the group with a win.
  • Castlehaven will qualify with a draw if Carbery Rangers don’t win by 7 points or more.
  • If Castlehaven lose, they will qualify if Valley Rovers beat Carbery Rangers
  • If Castlehaven lose by less than 6 points and Carbery Rangers draw with Valley Rovers, Castlehaven will qualify.

Carbery Rangers

  • Carbery can qualify with a win and a winner in the Castlehaven v Clonakilty game.
  • If Carbery Rangers draw and Clonakilty win by 7 points or more, Carbery Rangers will qualify.
  • If Carbery Rangers draw and Castlehaven beat Clonakilty by 9 points or more, Carbery Rangers will qualify.
  • With a loss, Carbery Rangers will finish bottom of the group.

Valley Rovers

  • Can’t qualify from the group.
  • Must beat Carbery Rangers to avoid finishing bottom of the group.

Nemo Rangers

  • Have qualified and topped the group.

Éire Óg

  • Éire Óg need a draw to finish second.
  • If Éire Óg lose they will finish third.

Ballincollig

  • Must beat Éire Óg to finish second.
  • A draw or loss will eliminate Ballincollig.

Carrigaline

  • Will finish bottom of the group due regardless if they win due to previous results.

St Finbarr’s v Douglas

Mallow v St Michael’s

St Finbarr’s

  • Will qualify win, lose or draw.
  • Need a draw to finish top.
  • Lose and they will finish second in the group behind Douglas on head-to-head.
  • If St Finbarr’s lose and Mallow win, 1st to 3rd would finish on 4 points and points difference will decide the final order. St Finbarr’s have a superior points difference so have the advantage.

Mallow

  • Will qualify with a draw.
  • If Mallow lose and St Finbarr’s win, 2nd to 4th will all be on 2 points and points difference will decide the final order.

Douglas

  • Must draw or win and need Mallow to lose to qualify.
  • If Douglas lose and St Michael’s win, 2nd to 4th will all be on 2 points and points difference will decide the final order.

St Michael’s

  • Must draw or win and hope Douglas lose to give them a chance of not finishing bottom of the group on points difference.

Round 3 Fixtures:

Kanturk v Knocknagree

O’Donovan Rossa v Fermoy

 

Kanturk

  • Need a draw to qualify top of the group.
  • If Kanturk lose and O’Donovan Rossa lose, Kanturk will qualify in second place.
  • If Kanturk lose by 3 points or more and O’Donovan Rossa win by 2 points, Kanturk can finish 3rd.
  • If Kanturk lose and O’Donovan Rossa win, 1st to 3rd will finish on 4 points each and points difference will decide the order.

O’Donovan Rossa

  • Will qualify in second if Kanturk beat or draw with Knocknagree due to beating Knocknagree in Round 1.
  • If O’Donovan Rossa win and Knocknagree beat Kanturk, 1st to 3rd will finish on 4 points each and points difference will decide the order. O’Donovan Rossa would need to win by 4 points to qualify.
  • Will qualify with a draw providing Kanturk win or draw vs Knocknagree.
  • Lose and they will be eliminated.
  • If O’Donovan Rossa lose and Kanturk beat Knocknagree, 2nd to 4th will finish on 2 points each and points difference will decide the order. O’Donovan Rossa would need to lose by less than 6 points and lose by less than Knocknagree would lose by to still qualify.

Knocknagree

  • Will qualify and top the group with a win and O’Donovan Rossa loss to Fermoy.
  • If Knocknagree win and O’Donovan Rossa beat Fermoy then 1st to 3rd will finish on 4 points each and points difference will decide the order.

Fermoy

  • Will finish bottom of the group with a loss or draw.
  • Must win to avoid finishing bottom.
  • Can still qualify only if they win by more than 6 points against O’Donovan Rossa and they would need Kanturk to beat Knocknagree by a large margin.

Newmarket

  • Will qualify with a draw.
  • If Newmarket lose and Kiskeam beat Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh, Newmarket will need to finish with a better points difference than Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh to still qualify.

Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh

  • Will qualify with a draw.
  • If Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh lose to Kiskeam and Newmarket win vs Clyda Rovers, Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh qualify.
  • If Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh lose to Kiskeam and Newmarket draw vs Clyda Rovers, Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh will progress ahead of Clyda Rovers due to head-to-head.
  • If Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh lose to Kiskeam and Clyda Rovers win vs Newmarket, Beal Áthan Ghaorthaidh need Clyda Rovers to win by more than 4 points than Kiskeam would win by to still qualify.

Clyda Rovers

  • Can only qualify with a win.
  • Draw or loss and they will finish third.

Kiskeam

  • Will finish bottom.

At the September meeting of Cork County Committee, the nomination of  Éire Óg’s Ray O’ Mahony as manager of U20 footballers was confirmed. Michael O’Brien, Ballincollig  will be the coach of the team. Full details of the management team are listed below
