Rebels Bounty Draw for December and County Championship Draws 2024
Cork GAA are delighted to announce that our Rebels’ Bounty Draw for December will take place on Thursday 14th December. The top prize of €100,000 will be awarded to the first person drawn out at the draw.
On the night and part of the same stream, we will be live-streaming our Championship Draws for the year 2024.

Honoring a Legend: Galway and Meath Face Cork in Teddy McCarthy Tribute Event
In a poignant tribute to the late Teddy McCarthy, Galway and Meath are set to play a double-header against Cork at Páirc UíChaoimh on December 9th. The event aims to celebrate the unique career of McCarthy, a true icon of the GAA world, who passed away in June of this year.
Teddy McCarthy’s remarkable achievement of winning Senior All-Ireland titles in both hurling and football in 1990 is a feat unmatched in the history of the sport. To commemorate his legacy, specially commissioned memorial trophies will be presented to the winners of the Galway hurlers vs. Cork (5 pm) and Meath footballers vs. Cork (3 pm) games.
Marc Sheehan, Chairperson of Cork GAA, expressed gratitude to Meath and Galway for participating in these fixtures. The day will begin with a function for Teddy’s colleagues from the 1990 teams, who will be introduced to the crowd during halftime. Mini-games featuring Glanmire Ladies Football, Sarsfields, Passage Underage teams, and North Mon First years will add to the festive atmosphere.
A series of interviews with Teddy’s former colleagues and opponents will take place during a special event in the Seandún room.
Match tickets, priced at €20 and €17 (OAPs & students), can be purchased on the official Cork GAA website. All U16s get free admission, and proceeds from ticket sales go to the Teddy McCarthy Memorial Fund. Additionally, a GoFundMe link is available for those who wish to contribute directly.
For fans unable to attend in person, the games will be live-streamed on Rebels Online. A special edition of “Legends,” featuring interviews about Teddy McCarthy, will be recorded on the day and broadcast over the Christmas period.

Thursday evening marked a significant milestone as One Cork Worldwide 2024 was officially launched at Croke Park, serving as the backdrop for the unveiling of its membership.
Larry McCarthy, the President of the GAA, delivered a keynote address that not only reflected on pivotal moments during his presidency but also introduced the eagerly anticipated 2024 membership. His words resonated with the essence of the occasion, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting chapter for Cork GAA.
Marc Sheehan, County Chairperson, took the stage to share the highlights of his term, including achievements such as three U20 titles and a Minor All-Ireland returning to Leeside. His insights provided a glimpse into the remarkable journey of Cork GAA.
Kevin O’Donovan, CEO of Cork GAA, took the opportunity to outline future initiatives that will be supported by One Cork Worldwide. He emphasised the organisation’s commitment to fostering growth within Cork teams, spanning from the developmental stages at U14 to the pinnacle of Adult competition. O’Donovan’s vision illuminated the path ahead, showcasing a strategic approach to elevate Cork’s standing in the world of Gaelic games.
The evening unfolded with engaging discussions featuring Cork Senior football manager John Cleary, accompanied by former players Tony Nation, Tomas Mulcathy, Eithe Duggan, and Valerie Mulcathy. CORK REFEREE CONFERENCE AND THE LAUNCH OF CORK REFEREE DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The County Referee Committee is thrilled to announce the Cork Referee Conference, which also marks the launch of the Cork Referee Development Plan. This vital event is scheduled to take place on the 25th of November, from 10am to 1pm. We cordially invite all match officials, including referees, linesmen, umpires, and administrative personnel, to participate in our upcoming conference at Páric Uí Chaoimh. Our lineup of speakers for the event will be headlined by George Clancy and Barry Kelly. George Clancy is a former international rugby referee renowned for his expertise and experience in the field.
