There will be a Q&A with two players and the Munster March departs at 3.45pm, arriving at the ground at approx 4.05pm.

Munster mascot Oscar will also be there to meet and greet supporters.

Oscar will be meeting supporters at the Fan Zone in Marina Market ahead of the game.

Travel

Please note, matchday parking is not available on site.

We advise all supporters, where possible, to walk to the grounds as approach routes will be busy with regular commuting traffic, and routes closer to the stadium will be closed.

The area surrounding the access and egress points to the venue will be adequately lit with tower lighting.

Gardaí recommend that people walk to the ground from the City Centre where possible but there will also be a free shuttle bus service which will go from Victoria Road up to the old marquee site next to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The closer you park to the grounds the longer you will be held back afterwards by the Gardaí and Stewards to ensure safe traffic management flow and to prioritise the safe passage of pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be limited vehicular access to Centre Park Road, The Marina, Maryville and Monahan Road on matchday. There will be a one-way system maintained down Monahan Road across the Link Road and Centre Park Road to facilitate residents, local businesses, sporting groups, and shuttle buses.

Shuttle Bus Times

We would encourage supporters to use the Black Ash Park and Ride which will be in operation until 9.30pm. By parking in Black Ash, supporters will be able to avail of the normal bus into the city and can then get the shuttlebus from Victoria Road out to the stadium.

Cork City Parking

Gardaí will operate a cordon near the stadium and local estates will be barriered to stop patrons from parking in front of residents’ houses.

Taxis are to drop off at a designated area on the Victoria Road just before Marina Walk unless they are wheelchair taxis. Monahan Road is to be used where wheelchair taxis require access to the stadium environs.

Please follow the directions of Gardaí & Stewards when dropping off a person with accessibility needs.

Public Buses

Route 202 operates from Merchant’s Quay to Mahon Point and customers can board at Merchant’s Quay in the City Centre or at Mahon Point, to be dropped off at Ballintemple, adjacent to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The stadium is a 5-minute walk from this stop. Route 202 will also be available from Ballintemple, Blackrock Road after the match to City Centre and Mahon Point.

Route 215 or 219 stops at the Churchyard Lane stop which is 10 minutes to the stadium.

The area surrounding the access and egress points to the venue will be adequately lit with tower lighting.

Munster March

Munster Rugby and adidas are inviting supporters to participate in the Munster March at 3.45pm ahead of the game.

The March will begin from our fanzone in the Marina Market.

We want Munster supporters of all ages to walk to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh to help raise awareness of the club’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action.

A key focus of our strategy is to encourage supporters, where possible, to use more sustainable forms of transport – such as walking, cycling, carpooling and public transport, when travelling to our matches.

Using the Ciclogreen App (iOS or Android), supporters can track their participation in the Munster March, collect points, and be entered into a raffle to win Munster Rugby prizes for participation.

Operation #MunsterInThePáirc

Preparations are in full swing for the second-ever rugby match at a sold-out SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday as Munster face Crusaders in Cork, in association with Pinergy.

A unique event, the sell-out game will see 40,885 supporters make their way to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the second-largest attendance at a rugby game in the province.

With lots of work going on behind-the-scenes to prepare for the game, see some of the key info ahead of the big event below.

We will have full supporter matchday information covering all operational details ahead of the game shortly.

The game kicks off at 5pm on Saturday, February 3, with live TV coverage on TG4 from 4.30pm. Access Munster will also be broadcasting our first video watchalong at the game with former Munster and Ireland centre Barry Murphy and commentator Dan Mooney guiding you through the action.

Coverage will start from 4.50pm and you can sign up to Access Munster for just €4 here.

Did you know?

  • This will be the first-ever meeting of Munster and Crusaders.
  • The Crusaders will be led by former Munster Head Coach Rob Penney. Munster prop Oli Jager joined from the Crusaders in November after winning seven Super Rugby titles with the side.
  • The goal posts in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh are not fit for a rugby game. Like last year, the goal posts will be removed from Thomond Park and transported to the venue this week. The Virgin Media Park posts were not an option due to different fittings.
  • GAA pitches are much larger than rugby pitches. Sponsorship hoarding boards will be placed inside the bowl to create the pitch perimeter and replicate the smaller rugby area.
  • Match clocks will be installed in the corners as the scoreboard clock in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh runs without stoppages.
  • The stadium is located in a residential area and there will be road closures in place with full details to follow later this week.
  • Additional temporary lighting will be added to the routes in and out of the stadium.
  • Munster will wear our new adidas home kit and Crusaders will wear their black away jersey.
