🏛️ History
One Cork is an ambitious initiative launched in November 2020 by Cork GAA to unify all elements of Gaelic Games in the county under a shared vision for success. The project brings together the Cork County Board, the SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh Stadium Board, Cairde Chorcaí, local clubs, and the wider supporter base into a single, coordinated structure.
The concept was driven by a desire to strategically invest in Cork GAA’s future, ensuring that resources are aligned, financially sustainable, and purpose-built to elevate performance from grassroots to elite levels.
A group of founding members played a vital role in developing the strategy and securing initial funding. These individuals brought a wealth of leadership and commercial experience to the table:
Kevin O’Donovan (Chairperson), Ted Owens (Vice-Chairperson), Michael O’Flynn, Jim Woulfe, Kieran Calnan, Tracey Kennedy, Marc Sheehan, Diarmuid Gowen, John Mullins, Tomás Mulcahy, Conor McCarthy, Seán O’Brien, and Sinéad O’Keeffe.
Their work laid the foundation for a transformational journey that is already bearing fruit across the county.
