The semi-finals of the Bon Secours Cork Football Club Championships 2022 take place this weekend across the county.
Cork GAA look forward to a super weekend of Football Semi-Finals as we move to the business end of the Bon Secours Cork Football Club Championships. With a huge focus on the Premier Senior football semi-finals at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday between Nemo Rangers and Ballincollig at 2pm followed by St. Finbarrs V. Castlehaven at 4pm it promises to be a spectacular afternoon at the Páirc.
Semi-Finals are also taking place in the Bon Secours Cork Senior A Football Championships in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday night between St. Michael’s v O’Donovan Rossa, followed by Clyda Rovers v Knocknagree.
In the Bon Secours Cork Premier Intermediate Football Championship Kanturk will take on Cill Na Martra, while Bantry Blues play against Uibh Laoire.
In the Bon Secours Cork Intermediate A Football Championship, it is Boherbue v Aghabullogue and Mitchelstown v Kilshannig.
Ahead of the games, Bon Secours Hospital CEO, Harry Canning visited Páirc Ui Chaoimh and was joined by semi-finalists from the 4 Premier Senior Clubs remaining and Cork GAA Commercial Director, Sinéad O’Keeffe.
Speaking in the wake of the Semi-Finals Harry Canning said, “Bons Secours Hospital Cork are once again delighted to support this year’s Cork County Football Championships. We would like to acknowledge all the players who have competed in this year’s competition and represented their clubs with pride and commitment. We look forward to an eagerly anticipated weekend of exciting football action and send best wishes to all the clubs involved in the upcoming Bon Secours Football Championship semi-finals in the Premier Senior, Senior A, Premier Intermediate, and Intermediate A grades. Bon Secours continue to display a commitment to the GAA throughout a variety of partnerships and we are delighted to be part of this championship which has seen the welcome lifting of restrictions and full return of supporters to games. This Sunday, the finals of the Senior ‘A’ hurling championship and Intermediate ‘A’ are down for decision.
All you need to know about the games are below.
The opening game of the day will be Co-Op Superstores Intermediate ‘A’ Hurling Final with Cloughduv meeting Dungourney. This game will start at 2pm. Cloughduv’s last County success came in 2018 when they claimed the Junior ‘A’ title while Dungourney also last County success was in2015 when they also won the Junior title.

How | Cloughduv won all three games in their group and beat Lisgoold in the County Semi-Final. Dungourney finished second in their group, with two wins and one loss. In the Q-Final they beat Midleton and booked their final place with a win over Sarsfields
Referee for the final will be Pat Lyons, Bishopstown
At half-time in Co-Op Superstores Intermediate ‘A’ Hurling Final, a Mini-game between the two clubs will take place.
The Co-Op Superstores Senior ‘A’ Hurling Final between Courcey Rovers and Fr O’Neills will start at 4pm. Courcey’s are seeking back to back County Titles after winning Premier Intermediate title in 2021 while Fr.O’Neills are back in the final for the second year in-a-row

How | Fr.O’Neills topped their group and booked a Semi-Final place with three wins at the group stages. In the Semi-Final they beat Bride Rovers to book their place in the final. Courcey’s had two wins in the group stages and beat Ballyhea in Q-Final and Fermoy in Semi-Final.
Referee for the final will be Ciarán O’Regan, Ballyhea
