The final round of the McCarthy Insurance Group Premier Senior Football Championship group stages produced a series of impressive performances, with the knockout picture now confirmed.

Clonakilty finished their group campaign in style, recording a comprehensive 3-22 to 0-08 victory over Ballincollig.

Carrigaline also secured a strong win, defeating Douglas 0-22 to 1-12, while Castlehaven came out on top against Knocknagree on a scoreline of 2-18 to 4-10.

There was another convincing performance from Nemo, who overcame Valley Rovers 1-14 to 0-05. Newcestown also finished strongly, defeating St Michael’s 0-16 to 0-10.

In the final game, Mallow claimed the points against St Finbarr’s, winning 1-15 to 2-11.

The group stage of the McCarthy Insurance Group Intermediate ‘A’ Football Championship has concluded, establishing the final bracket for the knockout phase and the relegation decider.

Kilmurry and Adrigole secured direct entry into the semi-finals after topping Group A and Group C respectively with six points each. Kilmurry secured top spot following a 2-11 to 0-07 victory over Glanworth, while Adrigole confirmed their position by defeating Kildorrery 2-08 to 0-10. Both sides earn a bye through to the last four as the top two group winners.

In the first quarter-final, Dromtarriffe will take on Boherbue. Dromtarriffe finished top of Group B on score difference after a 4-12 to 0-16 win over Mitchelstown. Boherbue qualified as Group C runners-up after securing a 1-11 to 0-13 victory over Bandon.

The second quarter-final features Buttevant against Mitchelstown. Buttevant advanced as Group A runners-up with a 1-17 to 0-15 win over Ilen Rovers, giving them a +24 score difference. They meet a Mitchelstown team that qualified second in Group B despite their final-round defeat.
