Erin’s Own win Premier Junior title

 

Erin’s Own 1-14 St Catherine’s 2-9

A strong finish to the first half on Saturday evening laid the foundation for Erin’s Own to achieve back-to-back county hurling titles.

For the third year in four since the reformatting of the Co-op SuperStores Cork Hurling Championships, the junior A winners have gone on to immediate glory in the next grade – previously known as the Lower IHC and now the Premier JHC.

Earlier in the day, don’t miss the Co-Op Superstores Senior “A’ HC Semi-final featuring Blarney versus Bride Rovers at 15:00.

Ticket Information

Please note that everyone under the age of 16 does not require a ticket. Tickets can be purchased on the Cork GAA website at www.gaacork.ie/tickets. It is essential to remember that no tickets will be available for purchase at the venue, so ensure to secure your tickets in advance. Once you’ve purchased your ticket, make sure to print it out or download it onto your phone and have it ready to scan upon entry.

Stadium Information

The stadium will open its doors at 2:00pm. Inside, you’ll find shops, bars, and food kiosks ready to cater to your needs throughout the match. Seating is unreserved and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s recommended to arrive early to secure the best spots. There are two seating levels available: South Stand Level 1 and the Premium Level.

Travel and Access

We urge you to plan your journey in advance. Traffic around the stadium can get quite heavy before and after the game, and some local roads may be closed. The stadium is just a 20-minute walk from Cork City Centre. If you’re driving, parking is available at all City Car Parks. Simply park your car and walk towards the Marina along Centre Park Road to reach the stadium. We kindly ask all spectators to respect our local neighbours and avoid illegal parking. Please note that the Live at Marquee Car park will be closed.

Public Transport

If you are taking public transport, the stadium is served by Bus Eireann Public Bus. The closest routes to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh are 202 and 212. The stop for SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh is in Ballintemple on Blackrock Road (by the pharmacy). Please note that an inner cordon will operate on the roads around the stadium by An Garda Síochána from 1:30 pm.

Finally, as we all know, the weather can be unpredictable, so make sure to check the forecast before you leave and dress accordingly. Your comfort is important to us, and we want you to enjoy the game regardless of the weather conditions.

New Referee training Course

 

We are pleased to announce that the Cork GAA Referee’s Committee will be hosting a training course for new referees in September.

The Referee Training Course will take place at two venues – Mallow for Avondun and Duhallow divisional referees on September 11th and 18th, and in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on September 14th and 21st.

The County Referees’ training team will be hosting the event and will equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge required to officiate matches at various levels. The program is designed to provide an immersive and dynamic learning experience, with seasoned referees and instructors on hand. More information about the course will be shared closer to the time for all who register their interests.
