Canon O’Brien Cup- Cork team to play
Cork hurlers will play UCC on Tuesday 7th January at 7pm. The annual Canon O’Brien Cup final will take place in Mardyke Sports Grounds.
The current holders of the cup are Cork who beat UCC in 2019 by a point, 1-24 to 1-23.
Canon O’Brien was heavily involved as a coach with both teams, he led UCC to eight consecutive Fitzgibbon Cup titles and also coached Cork to the 1990 Munster and All-Ireland titles.
Admission to the match is free, however, those attending the game are asked to make a donation to volunteer collectors on the day, with all proceeds going to the St. Columba’s GNS with facility for deaf children.
