Cork hurling fans were treated to an action-packed weekend as quarter-finals and relegation finals across the Co-Op Superstores competitions delivered drama, high scores, and close finishes.

In the Premier Senior Hurling Championship, Midleton edged Glen Rovers 2-19 to 2-17 on Saturday in a thrilling quarter-final, holding their composure in the closing stages to secure the win. On Sunday, Sarsfields advanced past Charleville 0-22 to 1-15, while St Finbarr’s made a statement with a commanding 3-16 to 1-12 victory over Imokilly. Meanwhile, Erin’s Own and Newtownshandrum battled in the relegation final, producing a high-scoring draw 4-15 to 2-21, leaving their fate to be decided in a replay.

Senior ‘A’ hurling saw Bride Rovers overcome Inniscarra 2-23 to 1-18, and Blarney move through with a 1-21 to 0-19 win over Na Piarsaigh. In the relegation final, Courcey Rovers narrowly defeated Bishopstown 0-16 to 0-14, securing their place in the grade for another season.

Premier Intermediate Hurling featured Castlemartyr holding off Mallow 1-19 to 0-19 in a tense relegation decider. Ballincollig secured a comfortable 1-21 to 1-9 win over Carrigaline in their quarter-final, while Cloyne edged past Valley Rovers 1-18 to 0-20 to progress.

Intermediate ‘A’ action saw Youghal overcome Mayfield 3-14 to 1-16 in the relegation final, keeping their place in the grade. Quarter-final victories went to Aghabullogue 1-18 to 1-12 over Midleton and Bandon 3-19 to 4-10 over Erin’s Own, both advancing to the next stage.

Premier Junior Hurling provided drama as Ballygarvan narrowly beat St Catherines 1-18 to 1-17 in a quarter-final, Cloughduv defeated Argideen Rangers 3-18 to 1-14, and Barryroe ran out convincing winners in their relegation final 1-21 to 0-11.
